i just finished Blue for the .. millionth time. and its still probably the best game i have ever played.

i have so much fun playing it, the music is incredible.

i still remember the first time i beat the elite four, only to have to face your rival. then Mewtwo!!!!

so many good times :)

and that truck, oh how many times i tried to move it but never did

i found that out myself and thought mew would be under it, then when the rumours came out. lvl 100 machamp use strength, etc etc.

why did they put it there in the first place, and lol at it being in Fr/Lg. Nintendo playing with our heads.

what do you guys think of these games?

I still have Red and Blue and I still love playing them even though, just like the topic starter here, I've been through them both many, many times. I also love Silver, Gold, and Crystal, and from time to time I'll pick one up and play them. They just never seem to lose their magic :)

Yeah, Pokemon was great. I remember borrowing Blue from a friend in elementary school (along with his GBC, believe it or not) and falling in love with it.

Pokemon Red/Blue is an awesome game. In fact, that was pretty much the whole reason why I bought a gameboy was to play that game. I remember trading with friends, battling, etc. Such a memorable game. :D

I personally prefer Gold/Silver, but either way the early Pokemon games are some of the best and deepest RPGs available on handhelds and quite possibly available anywhere Red was the only game I ever actually caught them all in though, so it does hold a special place in my heart

Some of the best handheld games ever created.Quite a shame the more recent generations haven't been able to match up.

Good times with the Pokemon games. They were so much fun. I think I like Silver/Gold the best. A long time ago I sold all the ones I had (quite a bit) and I regret it now. :(

I must confess I spent more time on red/blue than any other game ever, I had like 80 lev 100's without cheating. I was quite fond of gold/silver too, I wasn't much for the ones after those though. It' lost it's feel. Red/blue is still the best.

I like Pokemon Gold alot better.Pokemon Gold is one of my favorite games of all time. But before I got to play Gold I played through Blue and it was an amazing game especially for it's time.Ruby/Sapphire was fun but for some odd reason did not have the magic that the others had.I did not even finish Diamond. The game felt too easy.

They are good but there are now better games out there, even in the Pokemon universe itself...

pokemon blue was possibly the most addictive game i have ever played. i remember firing it up again back in 2002 when i hadn't palyed it in a while. i loved more than i ever did as a kid. it is strange but for me it has aged really well. not a lot of games do that. i have just as much fun playing it as i did back in the day. there are only a few games that have given me as much pleasure as this game has. can't believe it's been over ten years now.

R/B were amazing games for their time. I remember when my brother got Blue and my sister got Red...I was an extremely jealous 8 year old because I didn't have them. :P I got my own gameboy pocket and pokemon Red like a year later. I don't know why, but Pokemon died for my siblings since they never continued after R/B. For me, I'm still a long time pokemon fan.

I never understood the point of the truck. That was the truck that was always near the St. Anne(I think that's the name of that boat) right? I remember people always associating it with Mew or something. Then there was that silly rumor that a rocketship would take you to the moon so you could catch Mew.

Blue and Red are my favorites of the Pokemon, and I have at least one version of the rest in the series. Unfortunately my Gold and Silver internal batteries died, so I can't play them anymore. And I know my little sister knabbed the Emerald version from me, but she denies it, so it's lost... Still, Pokemon is legend. Blue and Red were the best though.
