With E3 already creeping around the corner (3 months), what do you think we'll be seeing this year? Obviously there has been speculation about next gen consoles, but no one can say for sure.

I don't think we'll get any console announcements until next year, just the Wii U and some new games this year.
I sort of doubt the Wii U will be playable. I fully expect a horrible press conference from Microsoft with lots of family-centric tripe around Kinect. They'll have a few actors on stage whose careers will end because of how embarrassing they look flailing around like dying fish in a barrel. And Don Mattrick will be all, "Gawrsh, that shore looked fun, folks! Hyuck Hyuck!!"
So in other words, not very much.
We should see some more tech demos of Ninty's new machine. News on their network and a new 3DS model.
MS will have a lot more Kinect news. Halo 4 trailer and a new Exclusive announcement.
Sony will push the Vita. The Last of Us trailer with release date and 3 huge Exclusive titles.
It will be a good E3 if they all present new consoles, but that won't happen. It's 720 and Wii-U, this year and PS4 next year.
I'm expecting a strong E3.
Media Molecule (LBP), Sony Santa Monica (God of War) and Quantic Dream (Heavy Rain) might all unveil whatever it is they're working on and in the case of MM, its certain that they are working on an original game. I don't expect any hardware announcements from Sony.
I expect MS will announce a bunch of casual games (the timing is wrong to announce a new Halo or Forza) for the X360. I wouldn't be deeply shocked if they announced the X720. They've made it clear they won't ship a new system this year, but they've been following in Nintendo's footsteps lately and Nintendo showed the Wii U (kinda-sorta) more than a year before its release date.
I think Nintendo will show off actual games running and playable on the Wii U this time, so I'm sure fans of Zelda, Mario and possibly Metroid will wind up dizzy with delight (I don't fall into any of those three categories). It will be interesting to see what third parties throw in their lot with Nintendo. Most will restrict themselves to ports but someone will get overenthusiastic and devote themselves to the system (last gen it was Sega, the gen before that Capcom). I have a sneaking suspicious next gen's Nintendo patsy will be Squenix.
Anyway, as usual, I expect a lot of the more interesting offerings to be from third parties. I'm expecting great things from EA (possibly the announcement of either Dead Space 3 or an original project from its makers), Atlus (possibly Persona 5), Konami (whatever Kojima's working on), 2K (I really want to see more of X-com and Bioshock Infinite), Valve (Left 4 Dead 3 perhaps?)and Capcom (more RE6 footage and possibly some new game announcement) and even Squenix (they've done some pretty impressive stuff on handhelds).
Think it will be the nintendo show..Its a very light year for gaming period..After march there isnt much do out..Space marines, bioshock infinite..Its a very light year..March seams so far like the heavy hitter..
The "will we see new gameplay" for Wii U is a no brainer, shouldn't really be in the poll tbh.
I'd say the 720 will be announced, it seems like there are a lot of rumours and whatnot. I'm wondering more so what Sony is going to do. Are they actually going to wait another year-ish to announce their new system? If they don't announce it at E3, and if Xbox do, then they'll be quite a bit behind..
Overall prediction:
We see lots of Wii U and 3DS stuff.
We see the 720.
Sony talks PS3 and Vita (nothing on PS4).
I think this is the conservative view and what most people think as well.
I want to see half-life 3 but I have a feeling they are gonna save it for the next-gen launch line up.
everybody is expecting the new microsoft console and thats bound to show up, but i think sony will unveil the ps4 as well. theyre denying it right now, but i really dont think they want to be the very last to release hardware.
i suppose the only sure thing in sony's inability to keep a secret. if there arent a bunch of vaguely similar rumors in coming months about a ps4, i suppose ill take that prediction back and expect a vita-centric E3 from sony.
from nintendo, i think everybody pretty much knows the gist of it. there will be lots of wii u news and 3ds talk. in terms of specifics, i think the only one of the top 3 nintendo series' (mario, zelda, metroid) that will get attention is metroid. however, nintendo will detail at least one other major game and i think it has to be a project from retro.
