Did I hear spoilers? There's a reference to Portal's character in HL2Ep2
Sorry, couldn't resist. You can hurt me now.
well, if you have the PC version, there are 100's of new, user made levels to download...though they are very hard sometimes....
you can also play Half Life 2 with the gravity gun with a few tweaks.

I believe you mean portal gun, you can already play HL2 with the gravity gun.
It already is its own game. You can buy it on its own over Steam. And the extra "challenges" (which are tough) and the ability to get custom maps on PC make the game more than worth price of admission, Orange Box or not.foxhound_fox
You know what I mean. A full-length game, intros, cut-scenes, full arsenal of weaponry, more characters, everything.

Valve doesn't do cutscenes, thank goodness. I don't know, really, I think adding weapons and making it into an action game simply wouldn't be Portal - Portal is a puzzle game. I would like to see some use of the tech in Episode Three, but Portal should remain Portal. The game is short, but I found the lenght pretty much perfect for what it is (took me just under 4 hours to beat the first time through), it has an awesome storyline with a great ending and it's a superb game in its own right.

If they ever did do another Portal, it would be cool to have some kind of puzzle game outside of the Aperture Science Enrichment Centre...whatever that might entail :?If they ever did do another Portal, it would be cool to have some kind of puzzle game outside of the Aperture Science Enrichment Centre...whatever that might entail :?selbie
But there is research to be done on the people who are still alive!
Yep, it is a full game. I don't think prolonging the experience would really make it better. Just look at Sega's Crush.
I don't think that Portal would work in a 15-20 hour game - there's only so many puzzles you can do with it before repetition kills the game.Planeforger
Is it really that good? :?Quadrifoglio
