@tryit: Well most any other screen shot thread has some kind of context to it such as “what game are you currently playing”. This just seems completely random and irrelevant since you can just post any pic from pretty much any game.

I could post 100s of screenshots ... but I don't see the point?

The title of the thread clearly state "We need official Screenshot thread", in which you can post whatever kind of screenshot from video games you want, with or without weapons equiped, which clearly is what your thread also is doing.

I just tried to find some sort of official screenshot thread here in this area, but no joy.

Now, given how people like taking and sharing screenshots, I'd say it's high time someone higher up on these forums (mods?) set up an official thread just for screenshots.

That way, whenever we see something fun or spectacular in a game, we could post pics of it all here on the official screenshots thread.

Just a though. A picture says more than thousand words after all.

ok I see I am mistaken in the thread in question.

However, this thread is still different. its specific, it has a parameter, think of it like 'I want to see a screenshot of your favorite character' or 'I want to see a screenshot of your favorite gun' its specific, the other is general as in 'post screenshots' well no I am asking for something different, something specific.

first off I am not asking for screenshots without huds.

I just didnt want non-game play screenshots which is why I listed things like character creation i would not have added huds to the full list, I thought it would be understood.

second off, its complete horseshit that screenshots are usually without weapons, what a pile of crap.

My hope was to see non-violence focused game play or game play that did not involve a weapon.

That thread takes me back. To think @henrythefifth once created something constructive and positive in GD when he started off.

While @tryit probably has an agenda. "Without a weapon" is the restriction towards the thread made as explained in the header. And in that aspect makes it different to Henry's screenshot thread, despite both using in-game imagry.

One is open to all games and the other is down to a novel limitation. If nothing it's worth seeing if we can humor the thread for relevance.

Most could just grab a screenshot of Tetris (or some other puzzle game)/ Animal Crossing Pocket Camp from the phone, and be done. Not stating they're examples everyone plays but is the basis that almost everyone has probably played at least one game without a weapon, may even right now. Heck, Pac-Man technically doesn't have a "weapon"_

I don't really take screenshoits but I imagine I'd have a lot. City builders, strategy, management, exploration...lot of genres out there without weapons.
