i know this can't be generalized for all games, but should i play previous titles in the series to play a game properly? i didn't play or wont play the following games thinking that i must play their predecessors: 1- Fallout 3 & New Vegas 2- Mafia II 3- Deus Ex: Human Revolution 4- Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days 5- and Killzone 2... i actually played KZ2 but in the end i felt i should have played the first.. and more... but u get the idea. and for the games that aren't released yet, this is a good time to play previous games if the answer to my question was Yes.
I can speak for Fallout 3; you do not need to play the previous Fallout games to enjoy and understand Fallout 3. I would give it a whirl before New Vegas comes out, though.
Fallout 3 doesnt need to be played to understand the FO new vegas story because each has its own. Kane and Lynch 2 you have to play the first. Mafia 2 dont need to play the first to understand because the story is deffrint. Deua EX IDK.
thanks guys, i think it will be also very good if Gamespot put that in the Game Details page, like if their's a prerequisite for that game that must be played, it will help a lot of people, especially the ones that care about the story more than most things in the game.
