Am I the only one that is getting tired of spending 15 minutes to get that huge price sticker off your used games? it's Particurally bad with old cartride games once you get the sticker off there is always that nasty stick residue and why do they always seem to stick the price right on top of another sticker on the game at least just stick it on the back where there is no label.

No, your not the only one, when i purchase used games, there is always a sticker in the most inconvient spot, specially when on a cartridge where the sticker can ruin the games label by taking it off. I now by games that don't have stickers plastered all over them, well, i try.

And then there are the stores that insist on putting several stickers on it - one in the top right for the price, another over the barcode, and another on the spine of the case. Gah! 3 times the work to remove them carefully without tearing the artwork beneath, and to remove all the sticky they leave behind.

Yeah, they're annoying. I guess I'm kind of lucky though, because the EBs around here don't put the stickers directly on the artwork. So it's just a bit of rubing alcohol to get the residue off. The ones that really annoy me are the ones on the manual. Sometimes they come off without a hitch. Others rip the cover

I hate the security stickers that you sometimes/used to get worse. The ones with the metalic rib stuff on the back that always ended up seperating from the front of the sticker when you tried to take it off.

yeahh, i find cex and cash converters to be the worst. other game stores use easy peel stickers, for which i am grateful. i hate ripped boxes due to price stickers.

I have having price stickers on my games. I try to keep my games in tip top shape, the case, disc, manual. Stickers don't help with this goal and neither does the residue that it leaves behind.

That's the nature of the beast when buying older games and carts- Stickers and labels. Buying them at flea markets, used stores, pawn shops and such you run into a chance of seeing games splattered with stickers. Especially with games from rental stores, some labels (like the Blockbuster ones) are permanent. It was a trend back then to put a plastic label on the front and back of the cart to make sure the label stays.

Luckily enough if you find an older game and the sticker or price label is on not on the label of the cart or on the cardboard box, it's easily removable, especially with something like goo gone.. But if the sticker is on, for a NES cardboard box, or the an n64 label...it gets extremely tricky... especially if the sticker or price label is old.

No, you are definately not alone. I make sure those pesky stickers are off as best I can before the games go on the shelf with the rest of my collection.

I love how with jewel cases, like those on PS1 and Saturn games, you can easily get the stickers off the boxes by putting a blowdryer up to the sticker until it heats up, and you can peel it off like nothing.

Unfortunately, that would probably melt the thin plastic on DVD cases, and probably isn't good for cd's either. You can use a blowdryer on cartridges if the sticker is on the back or something. The stickers usually turn black from the heat, and it may not be a good idea to use on a game label.

I've never actually tried any of those. I just know it works like a charm on jewel cases.

Yeah they annoy the hell out of me. It frustrates me to no end when I pull it off, but loads of the sticky glue is left on the case.

yeah i know what you mean dude its so annoying.

most of the time they put them in the worst places like on the sticker of the actual cartridge and everytime i try to peel it it just makes it worse cuz of the white stuff it leaves behind and the scratches from me trying to take it off with my nail
