Is there any news to a sequel to Prince of Persia? I really enjoyed the last one with Elika and you spirit guide chick (not the move adaptation one). Really like this franchise and hope they make a sequel soon.

Prince of Persia died with The Forgotten Sands. I've never seen a sequel that had so many elements taken away from it that made the Sands trilogy so great. It really was a sad attempt at trying to be more like God of War. For this reason I don't really see them even daring to work on another POP. If they do they should try to not just rush it because a movie is coming out (though, the movie was rather good).
I know it's a lot different than the POP game you're talking about, but it seems platformers aren't that popular this gen(idk why). Plus, Assassin's Creed is basically what Prince of Persia turned into, which coincidentally has some good platforming sections in it.

The Forgotten Sands game was the movie adaptation and you know how those turn out. But it was decent game.

I thought they kept saying how the game and move weren't at all related, and after playing the game and seeing the movie I can honestly say they aren't related. However, I did read they wanted to make a game based on the movie.

It was released right around when the movie came out. And dont the movie have the same title as the game?
I played the game but didnt watch the movie, heard it was terrible.

I think it just came out around the same time to get sales, as the name is different.
The movie actually was pretty entertaining, and that's coming from someone who is a huge sands of time trilogy fan.
Definitely! I had a great time with the Prince of Persia game. That game is awesome. I would rather see a sequel to it then the yearly assassin's creeds .

While I liked the idea as a whole, I could never really get used to it. It's weird, because in this Prince Of Persia, the one with Elka, you don't die. Therefore, since death is avoidable at all times, you don't get a feeling or a sense of accomplishment when you endured trial and error in the older PoP games. This may sound even more weirder, but I prefer The Forgotteon Sands over this one, IMO.
Its still up in the air as far as we know.
Which sucks. Considering the game was open for a sequel and I'd love to see more of the Prince and Elika, as they had one of the best relationships in a video game.
I want a sequel too with Elika and the Prince. The way they ended the story, it wasn't finished so they can add a successor. It got a bit boring in between when all you have to do is to fertile the whole kingdom.
I personally loved Forgotten Sands and the eponymous title that preceded it also. :D Another Prince of Persia game would be music to my ears.luke1889
The combat, in Forgotten Sands, was admittedly dull, but the platforming sections made up for it. I really enjoyed figuring out which way to go and it felt really good to get to my current goal and to see what was around the corner. Good times...thankfully, I don't need to play it anymore, because I've gotten all the achievements in the game. :D
I think it was Warrior Within where you transport back and forth through time to advance the story line. And every once in a whil you have that monster (Dahaka, i think) chase you and you have to run for your life and can make no mistakes while platforming your way to escape.
Never had a game give me such a rush of adrenaline mixed with equal amounts of fear. It was awesome.
