My favorite low profile game is Carnage Heart. Freaking awesome stuff and we never got any of the sequels =( . I would kill to play another Carnage heart game. I saw they made one of the psp in japan. So its still around and kicking...
I'm sure other people have played it, but I haven't heard much about Bushido Blade. If Tenchu were a fighting game, this would probably be it.
Also Vandal Hearts. A more simplified version of FF tactics but I was young at the time so I loved it.
Fear Effect was underrated...I don't think Persona got a lot of press, at least at the time.YourChaosIsntMe
I just got Fear Effect a couple months ago for $5. I haven't gotten around to playing it yet, but it looks pretty good to me.
I played many PS1 games over the years and here are some of the overlooked games:
Apocalypse
Asteroids
Battlestations
Big Air
Blasto
Colony Wars (the whole series)
Einhander
Echo Night
Future Cop L.A.P.D (one of my favorite games)
Jersey Devil
Loaded
Tai'fu Wrath of The Tiger
Tomba
Techmo's Deception (games 1-3)
Unholy War
I remember this game called Silent Bomber.
Orasion_Seiz
That game is sweet. One of the hardest too.
Intelligent Qube
Persona
Einhander
Hogs of war....a very funny and addictive game (for me anyway)

Its way too much like Flashback. Horrible controls, difficult gameplay, although atleast it has nice visuals and voice acting.
Fighting Forcesummer_star17x
I remember that game, and being excited about the spiritual successor to Streets of Rage for all of 10 minutes until I turned it off.

Well i agree on some points, indeed the mechanics sucked big time, but the difficulty was fair enough to make one sweat:).

If you enjoy getting fustrated at games, definatly.
Little Big Adventure, anyone? A cool little adventure game that didn't get the attention it deserved. I'm not talking an AAA title here, but it was a cool little game.
Another one that sticks out in my mind is Monster Rancher. The overriding memory I have of this Pokemon-esque game is how you acquire new monsters; pop a music CD into your PlayStation and it generates a monster. Cool little feature that had you scouring through your music collection, but unfortunately, the game play probably wasn't that great if I can barely recall any of it.

I remember Monster Rancher, ironically one of the coolest monsters my friend got out of his CD collection was from none other than his dad's Meatloaf album. Figures.
Legend of Dragoon nobody seems to have played, and that game was epic in scale, awesome in its execution, and the cgi cutscenes and the storyline were captivating. Awesome game.
I'd never heard of gallerians until i sw a cop y at EB. it's fantastic but almost unheard of.BuryMe
I always wanted to buy Galerians. I guess I finally will on eBay or amazon.
