Final fantasy (all of them on PS1)
I plug it in and play every now and again
Favourite games: Final Fantasy VII, Gran Turismo 2, Metal Gear Solid
I play my PS1 once in a while,
my favourite games on it are MGS1 and FF7-9, but I dont play these as much anymore (MGS1 isnt as good after youve beaten it 30+ times)
I still play Tekken 3, Lunar, Crash Bandicoot 3, Spiderman, in fact ive just bought a PS1 game from Japan, Tobal 2 (very good fighting game, though not quite as good as Tekken or Virtua Fighter
I don't play my PSx anymore but I do still play my PSX titles on my PS2. My favorite titles would be Xenogears, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy IX, Metal Gear Solid.
While i use my PS2 to play them, i probably spend more time with PS1 titles than i do any other system. Even the current gen.
Owning a PS1 is pointless, since all PS2's are backwards-compatible. That said, my favorite games on the PS1 were Twisted Metal 1 and 2 and Final Fantasy VII and IX.
untrue, there are a number of games that dont work correctly on the PS2 MGS1 freezes after the credits when played on the PS2 (thus not letting you finish the game), and the VR missions didnt work at all. there are a number of games which dont work, but I cant remember them all (im pretty sure FF5 from the compilation freezes as well at certain situations) the other thing is that its sometimes just better to play games on their original hardware.Owning a PS1 is pointless, since all PS2's are backwards-compatible. Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, Chrono Cross, Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, Parasite Eve 1, 2, MGS, Xenogears, ...
I consider many of these games to be better than the majority of games released in the PS2 and current era.

I would have to agree, considering what limited technology they used, they really made the most of it and thats why they are still great.I just bought the PSX Final Fantasy titles this past summer and played through them all. Other than those, I've been going back to Chrono Cross for about 1 playthrough per year ever since the game came out. So my favorites are probably Chrono Cross and FFVII. RPG games tend to withstand the test of time better than others.
