PS2: Ace combat 4, 5 or Belkan War?

I liked 5 the most. I really got into the story and it's one of the few games that I actually went back and played through multiple times. Some fans didn't like 5's story so much though.CJL182

Just stop wasting time and get all three, they are all worth a purchase.

Admitidy, I actually prefered 04 over 5 and 0. Yeah, 5 had a great storyline and was longer, but the fact that it completely ditched the ability to choose from multiple secondary weapons for each plane, and removed the ability to land at base and restock your weapons during a mission, was unforgivable.

But like I said before, get all three. While your at it, get the first three for the Playstation as well (especially the Japanese version of 3, it completely blows the US/EU version out of the water).

I think if you want a fun fighter plane game you should get HeatSeeker!!! Its a glitchy piece of crap but the action is over the top and the controls are just as good as Ace Combat. Its cool because it has a missle cam and explosions. I'd rather play it than Ace combat. But it can lock up on you(especially when trying to view the mission review part).

umm....I wouldnt call ANY ace combat game boring. Compared to Over G fighters (360) or any other fighter game, Ace Combat is actually exciting. It's a mix of arcade and simulation. Some missions seem more sim than arcade, but still its not a full-featured flight sim at all.

I would recommend Ace Combat 5. It has the best story of ALL the ace combat games by far. AC6 for the 360 looks the best, but AC5 and Zero are the most fun on the PS2.

and DO NOT get heatseaker. That game is a total joke. Theres a reason u can find it for like $20 on either the PS2 or Wii. that game might be a rental at best. but Ace Combat is the only decent flying game for any console.

edit: oh and BTW all the Ace combat games on the ps2 play about the same. I have AC4,5, and Zero. and really they are all great games. I just think 5 has the best story.

Yea I have to agree with most of the people here 5 in my books is my favorite, i loved it.
