does using the component cables for the ps2 really show any difference? i'm wondering cause i'm gettting an hdtv soon and i plan on rebuying my ps2 and a couple games. will the picture look clearer and better with component cables?

Yeah, it makes quite the difference. The colours specially will look as vibrant as they can get.

I was very impressed with the improvement when I first got them.

Its a huge improvement, but for your sake PLEASE stay away from the MadCatz/Gamestop component cables.
