ps2 dead?

seriously though its not dead yet, but heading in that direction, Sony still makes money on it, so like the PS1, expect its death to be a slow and painful one

its getting nascar 09 madden 09 wwe 09 fifa 09 etc ea titles and sports titles like usual , and almost anything wiis getting minus the controls , no more gtas no more drivers, no more games like that , but ya its not dead yet until wii is , i dont think ps2 will be, ps3 has not tapped into potential i dont think it will ever do so , they down graded the console enough already to throw any sony fan into nothing , the people who buy 40 gb versions are those just playing movies or those that would suffer , gta takes hdd space as does various other games and no im not talking about save games, im saying game installs or some thing like it , and if im already down to 40 gb on my 60 gb then if you have 6 games and a few songs youd be down to 20 gb in no time,

I think that ps2 will survive a lot longer...

If you think of it, it can play ps2 games and ps1 perfectly as far as I know. While ps3 do it through emulation as I believe. Now add to that that it has low prices, now include the largest install base with the best gaming library(I think ps2 games have so much worth while games that it can take you years to play them all and still find more) add to that games are still comming out.

This thing has a lot of life and it is here to stay.....

One thing I do not understand is that , why would any one wait so long to buy a ps2? its been like what? 7 years? thats a difference between a child and a working man...thats sooo long!

Chaos Wars comes out this month, Monster Lab might be worthwhile, Tales of Despereaux in December, and lol Ghostbusters might be worth it in October. Plus the rumor of Persona 4 being released for ps2. Then there will probably be a few mainstream games worth grabbing as well. Ill still hold out on the PS2. Also there are guranteed releases up to 2010 and you can believe that 2 years is long enough for Atlus and NIS to both crank out at least one or two more good games I.E. hopefully Ar Tonelico 2?garter_windwood

Thanks on that clear up I only saw it in release date lists for Gamestop and I wasn't sure what it was and if it had anything to do with the Tales collection or not and it's a game otherwise it wouldn't be listed as 50 bucks.

*edit info* Apparently this title isn't listed on the gamestop website so I dunno whats up with it.
