If you love CoD is it for the offline or the online gameplay?? I think the entire series has sucked as an offline shooter. All you do is go from checkpoint to checkpoint and occasionally shoot people but mostly just run around with your computer allys while they take everything out. The games dont keep track of any stats whatsoever. Kills, accuracy, fav weapon.....
Im playing WaW right now and while I will admit it is kinda fun(I have had a craving for an FPS game for awhile) its the same old bullcrap. All you have to really do is just hide behind stuff and the other guys will kill everything for you lol, its like one giant long cutscene. And your fellow soldiers are CONSTANTLY clogging up every damn corner and doorway so you can barely shoot at the enemies yourself without exposing yourself. And if you accidentilly shoot them in the back its game over.
There is no way in hell I would ever buy a CoD for offline play. Please please tell me that the only reason people buy this series is because the online mode rules?? I can totally understand how it could be an awesome experience online(although I hope you dont use maps from the game?). I will probably spend the next two days beating the game and then take it back to me video store extremely happy at the fact that it only cost me 3$.
I dont even think the ps2 version has online capability. Unless the game adds new menu's upon detecting a modem there were only two options "Campaigne and Options". I think the game only lasts for like 6-8 hours on normal. My dad beat the game and tried the first stage on the hardest difficulty and got through most of it lol, I took over and got past the part he was stuck on and guess what we got......NOTHING. The game is a joke. I hate the american weapons in that game. The M1 Garand you can't reload, you just have to fire off the rest of the clip. The Thompson machine gun only has 20 round clips which means its constantly running out of ammo, you are lucky if you take out two guys with it. I toss it instantly at the start of every battle in favor of the german/japanse Type 100 which is has a 32 round clip.
Here this is my review: No multiplayer, no online, no rewards, no value whatsoever.
