Can you save PS1 games onto a PS2 memory card? Or do you NEED a PS1 memory card?

You can however transfer PS1 saves from a PS1 memory card to a PS2 memory card, and back again, if you need more space. It's just PS1 games wont recognise PS2 memory cards.

if it helps , there are PS1 memory cards that are about 4 times the capacity of the offical one, i have one which makes u hold select to change memory cards, essentially its 4 seperate memory cards put into one card (sounds confusing but its great)

you can also put saves of any kind on your PC for storage, if you have a cheat CD for the PS2/PS1 or if you have a PS3

hope this helped a bit

The reason why I asked is because I might want to buy the Fear Effect series off the internet, and I need a ps1 memory card if I do buy it.
