Hi guys,

so I got Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks, MK Armageddon, Twisted Metal Black and Tekken 5 for the weekend for me and a friend.

Anyone can recommend other awesome multiplayer games we could play? (We also have Burnout and Timesplitters)

Dump Twisted metal black and get twisted metal head on. Ditch Tekken 5 and get Soul Calibur 3 and DBZ BT2.. Timesplitters is pretty cool because you can make your own maps. Star War Battlefront 2 has co-op and versus FPS battles. Dynasty(5)/Samurai Warriors(2): Empires is co-op hack n slash fun (no versus sadly). X-men Legends 2 hack n slash. Champions Return to Arms, hack n slash. I would get Tony Hawk Underground 1 and either take turns or work together to create your own skateparks and then skate them.

Soul Calibur 3 alone is to much for one weekend lol.

Well I have Twisted Metal Head On on psp and must say that I like it better than black. But meh.

And Soul Calibur? I only heard about it, never played. Hack and Slash sounds good, Co-Op too. But Star Wars Battlefront was god awful on psp, with horrible graphic. Is it better and fun on ps2?

The last time I played Twisted Metal Black, which was several years ago, it was practically dead. So unless you and your friend are playing on multiple PS2's, both having the game, it's not going to be very exciting. I recommend playing EverQuest Frontiers, although it requires a monthly fee, it's loads of fun!!!

Johnnsen

Get rid of MK Armageddon...They got better fighting games on the ps2...If I wanted to I could name about 15...

Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks...Never played it

Twisted Metal Black...Never played it

Tekken 5(good purchase)...

Have you considered getting Def Jam: Fight For New York, Guitar Hero, Lego Star Wars, SSX 3, X-Men Legends...

custom combo's and custom fatties make armageddon a pretty awesome versus game. Dude there is no other fighting game where i can rip off both your arms and beat you to death with them lol.

I didn't like Def Jam, and I like MK Armageddon better. Well, I wonder too what makes Twisted Metal Black better than Head on, since Black has better scores. Anyway, it doesn't have to be a fighting game, and no online games since I don't have the adapter for it.

Apart of that... Well. Any other stuff that is fun? Like the mario party games for the N64?

I didn't like MK: Armageddon because it just didn't remind me of the 2D Mortal Kombat games like the gamespot review said new custom fatality system is a disappointing replacement to the classics(No Friendship Fatalities, No Fatalities where you turn into a baby)...the only thing you do is rip peoples limbs off which in my opionion is boring and repetitive...and I didn't like the switching of the fighting styles...First you started out with your fists, then with a press of a button you go to a weapon...etc...

And I told you I could name 15 fighting games better than MK: Armageddon Well...Soul Calibur 2 and 3, Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 5, Guilty Gear X-2 and Accent Core, Dead Or Alive 2: Hardcore, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, The King of Fighters XI, Arcana Heart, Virtua Fighter 4 and Evolution, Street Fighter Anniversity Collection, Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, etc...etc...etc...I could go on and on...

Anything else apart of fighting games? We have Tekken and MK, so I don't need more fighting I think. But thanks anyway.

Oh. You should check out Thrillville: Off the rails!! You get to build theme parks and they have arcade games and stuff and you can play alot of them with two people. There is a really old game called "My Street" or something like that. I think it is nothing but mini/party games. PS2 is mostly versus and online multiplayer. Nintendo has all the stupid party games.

Thanks for that! I'll check that out.

Any Ko-op RPG's or something? Something like Diablo? I heard about Baldurs Gate and Champions of Norrath.

Balders Gate, especially the second one, were awesome on PS2. Great co-op hack n slash. I think some of the early X-Men brawlers were good. The Street Fighter II collection. I'm sure there are many more, I just can't remember any. D&D on Xbox was cool too

X-Men brawlers? Like what? Because some of them seem to be bad.

Any other cool 2 player RPGS?

Johnnsen

X Men Legends 1 and 2. Marvel Ultimate Alliance

also give Lego Starwars a try, it has awesome co-op!!

And Timesplitters 2 is definitely the best co-op shooter I've ever played.

oh and also 007 Everything or Nothing and GTA San Andreas. you and your friend could play co-op on GTA or just take turns doing missions or creating mayhem.

The PS2 Version suffers from framerate issues and choppy animations I heard. Might check it out. Anyway, somebody has anything else? And thanks for all the tips so far.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I watched the review and they say that xbox360 has the best version and that the PS2 version suffers from the problems I said.
