It sounds like you already made up your mind.
Personally, I'm waiting until the price drops a bit and/or there are many games on it that I actually want. Actually if I was going to buy one of the three new systems right now, it would be the XBox 360 because:
1. It's cheaper.
2. It has more games since its been out longer.
3. There aren't all that many PS3 exclusives at present, although Final Fantasy XIII supposedly isn't coming to the 360 now, if that matters...
4. XBox Live is better than PS3's online service for the moment (or so I've read.)Â
The PS3 is an awesome console. It feels like a league above the 360 in terms of hardware. It has mountains of potential that isn't being used at the moment. Once you spend some time with it you'll know what I mean.
I bought my PS3 on Friday, I've had my 360 since launch day 2005. I bought Motorstorm and Resistance and both games are awesome. My HDTV doesn't do 1080p but Motorstorm in 720p rivals anything I've seen on 360. Ninja Gaiden Sigma coming out at the end of the month is the main reason I bought the PS3 now. The PSN is no competition for Xbox Live. Xbox Live is much, much better. PSN is free though so I guess you get what you pay for.
There are more quality games on 360 out now though but honestly, how many games can you play at once? I don't have lots of spare time so I don't get through games very fast (even though I buy loads of them).
Anyway, to sum up, 360 has more good games right now and a much better online service. PS3 is expensive but 360 would cost as much if you got everything the PS3 has. In the future I think the quality of games on PS3 will eclipse anything on 360 if developers start using the hardware properly.
This generation is a marathon, not a sprint.
A month ago I would say stay away from that piece of crap..but my opinion have been swayed a bit lately,From what I;ve read and heard Blu-ray is winning the war against HD DVDs and it doesnt breakdown and heat up like the 360.Theres 2 good reasons right there...thats all I can come up with,
Their game collection is still pretty lacking..But I just got a 360 with a big stack of games...I still havent touch half of it.
