This year I'm getting $500 from my grandfather but I'm conflicted. As a platform I prefer the PC for its openness, but the games I prefer to play are Japanese games like that usually get crummy PC ports (I really like Dead or Alive which is terrible on PC ATM.) Another problem is that we may been moving to a small town in a year. My father is in medical school and most the places that are offering him positions for residency are these small towns that have terrible Internet connections so I may have to do without online play for 2-3 years.

What are your thoughts?

Don't listen to thehig1 XD

Upgrade your PC. But think about waiting for the next year's graphics cards. You will probably get what we have now at 1/2 the price.
