PSP Memory Card Help Won't Read it

So do you guys have any suggestions.

Well I took the memory card out and put it on my computer but somehow my computer did not read the memory card. Then I put it in the wrong memory card slot where there was a lot of dust in the slot. Know when I put my memory card in the PSP it does not read it. It doesn't even know that a memory card is in there. Do you think that I scratched the memory card or what?
