Wow, I would definately argue with that. You should talk to the manager.

What you should have done was go to the manager of the store right when she refused to look at the back of the box and inform him that an employee was costing him a sale due to her own stupidity and ignorance (though obviously you'd phrase it nicer than that). The situation would have gotten sorted out very quickly at that point.

Right now the best course of action would be to just go buy the game somewhere else and write a letter to the manager of that store informing him of why his store just lost a sale and perhaps even a customer.

If you feel like the store has disrespected you, ask to speak to the manager or the department head of electronics. Tell them what happened and there shouldn't be a problem. Teen rated games don't require an age limit to sell. Technically speaking Wal-Mart could sell a Teen game to anybody. The rules only apply to M rated games.

Its also been said that you can right a letter to the manager or department explaining how you will buy the game elsewhere and they have lost a sale and customer due to lack of foresight.

thats pretty much it. one sale at walmart is a raindrop in an ocean, but managers still dont like to hear of these sorts of things.

You should have jumped over the counter and speared her ass :P, well thats what Lenser would have done. But seriously either go back again and hope it is another lady or go to a different game store.

Couldn't you just go to another check-out line to purchase the game?

The guy at EB games put me in a similar situation to that, and I just stared at him untill he got really creeped out. Problem solved.

Actually, I think that may be up the discretion of the store. Stores can choose to enforce all of them, I believe. I could be wrong, though.

That is bogus, too bad there's no GameStop in your area otherwise you wouldn't have to go through all of that hassle.

She's wrong. You can buy a T rated game dispite your age. There is not an age limit on purchasing T and under rated games. For rated M games, you must be at least 17 years old to buy them. I would go talk to her manager.

Thats wal-mart. And from my own experiences the higher ups wont care, she was probably following policy. Wal-Mart makes up their own rules when it comes to censorship, which they support and enact.

Why don't you just try going to a different store? Best Buy, Gamestop, Target, all those places sell the same games.

Actually technically, the rules apply to all ratings. That's why they are there. Technically, teen games aren't supposed to be sold to gamers under the rating age but stores don't have integrity and have money on the mind so they sell them anyway. M games simply get the biggest flack because they're M games.

That Walmart lady has issues! At the video store in my town, you have to be only 13 to rent a T game! And what is that lady, stupid?! Teen = 13, not 17! My friends have been playing T games since they were 6! I know a nine year old who plays Grand Theft Auto! You should complain, and show them all the posts in this forum!!!

That's messed up. T rated games are 13 and up, M games are 17 and up. She obviously shouldn't be working in the video games section of Walmart.
