ok I have a usa sega cd2 and pal sega cd 2. I think the usa sega cd 2 came with a pal ac adaptor. I bought i many years ago. I just bought a usa genesis 2. so now I can finally have a complete sega cd 2 usa, working I hope, to play usa exclusive games. however I have ac adapter for genesis 2 but not for sega cd 2.

is there any way to have this work? or will I blow the thing up or something.

Look at the voltage output of the adaptor and compare it to the console's. If they don't match then the adaptor will either fry the console or not provide enough voltage to power it up. If they match then you're good to go.

and if they don't match is there a way to convert? the ac adaptor I have is 230 volt and it needs to be 110 volt according to console.

I know there are adaptors that switch 230 volt to 110 volt power, so I can use usa ac adaptors on european powernet. or can I buy these adaptors easily?

My N64 was 110 back in the day and my house's output was 220. I bought an adaptor that downgraded the house's output to 110 when hooked up. However, the console's AC adaptor was 110. Matching the N64.

I think the only solution is to buy an AC adaptor matching the console's voltage. Converters won't help. Sorry.
