I have the original , and its a great game ,altough I don't think its the best game on the Saturn by any means.
Atrocious? Never heard anyone say that before. You use the right controler?I love the original, but the sequel is atrocious.

You said atrocious not poor. I can understand poor game, I just think it's better than the first game. I try not to let my fond memories of the first blind what I think is clearly a better sequel. IMO at least.[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"][QUOTE="Shockwave-DASH"] Atrocious? Never heard anyone say that before. You use the right controler?Shockwave-DASH

IMO at least.Same thing; it's just a bad and unpolished game that missed the point of the orginal's fast and arcadey experience. It's not even nostalgia doing the talking, because I only got a hold of my copy probably around 2 years ago, and played Journey roughly at the same time.

You think the sequel wasn't arcady? Huh that's new. But yeah, not saying it's great, but then again, you have to take into account what system was on.[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"][QUOTE="Shockwave-DASH"] You said atrocious not poor. But yeah, not saying it's great, but then again, you have to take into account what system was on.It has nothing to do with being on the Wii, it was just poorly designed. The controls are stiff, there's way too much emphasis on the kids outside the NiGHTS gameplay segments, and the biggest fault lies in the unskippable moments when you lose and have to go through all the filler again. The first NiGHTs was just straight gameplay, and you felt the atmosphere without a second of needless dialogue. The sequel just comes across as a rough package that didn't need to be made.

It actually does, the gameplay was made for the Wiimote, and the Wiimote is limited. So they crapped logged other controls in which in cases like movment are easier but fail at everything else. The Wii believe it or not, actually, you can see by looking at the game. in many places the Wii seems to freak out in a lot of areas with the graphics, and there's slow down, those little crappy controlled parts with the kids where put there because making a straight knights game would have probably caused results not wanted (it also probably would have cost them more too, they didn't have a really big budget to work with in the first place.) which makes some sense. However you are right, there's a lot of things that were added and removed and many shortcuts where taken for the above reason. That last area where you have to here the kid scream fly around and get to the final boss, and beat him in a time limit than start over each time you lose is the biggest annoyance I have had with any game on the Wii. In fact, i still haven't actually beaten the game yet, I have been replaying it again recently. Apparently NiGHTS is a girl now too, forgot about that.I really liked both, especially the original. I felt like the sequel was true to the original, and it was thoroughly enjoyable to play :)

Oh, and NiGHTs being a girl was also kind of lame too.

It's another Lumine thing from Megaman X8, the guy looks like a girl, shaped like a girl, has the eyelashes of the girl, and is called "He" Oh and make that NiGHTS is a British woman. Please Log In to post.
