I know a lot of stupid, random trivia, and I'd like to learn even more! so what random game trivia do you know?

This one might be well known but: there is a Beowulf quest in Morrowind that follows basically the same story as Beowulf's first encounter with the Grendal. The legend is completed when the Hero meets the Grendal mother in Cyrodil twenty years later on Elder Scrolls IV.

A dreamcast version of Half LIfe was completed but never went to market. In certain circles of the internet, you can find a leaked copy and run it on your dreamcast.

Originally, the Playstation was intended to be an add-on CD drive for the SNES. Licensing issues later, Sony decided to develop it as its own console.

Pulled from Gamesradar:

A six-digit number can be found on the Scorpion tanks in Halo, which refers to the birth date of the game's art director, Marcus R. Lehto. His initials also appear on Master Chief's boots.

Dragon Quest IV was the one of the only games on the NES that had a crescendo in the battle music. Music with that much variation was almost nonexistant on the NES. The adventure/travel music changes depending on who is leading the party. Each theme was written for a full symphony and then rewritten for the Synth heard in the game. The London Philharmonic performed a suite of the game's music with Koichi Sugiyama conducting. It was a musical landmark for games.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Game gear/Master System was the only 2D Sonic title (Not counting Spinball) where Sonic would not begin the game in a Green Hills inspired Zone (Although ironically presented to be by the games cover box).

Did you know that Megaman 9 was made for the NES aswell, they only released about 1000 copies and it's called the press release edition, and it's packaged exactly like the old NES Megamans were. :D
