There really is not that huge of a gap between Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, despite there being four games in between there. I like all of them about equally, really, except a Adventures of Link, which I like less. (I don't want to be another Adventures of Link hater but it has some pretty unignorable flaws and could have been way, way better.) I have played Ocarina of Time but it is the only Zelda I've started but never finished so I guess that would be number eight. Next Zeldas on my list are probably the two for DS.

#1 Wind Waker. That game is so controverial but I loved it from its release. I was in the camp of those who LOVED the new art direction. And, the controls were amazing.....PERFECT actually.

#2 A Link To The Past (SNES). So many things they started here made their way into later Zelda games. 2D Zeldas are just so cool.

#3 Legend of Zelda (NES). The game that started it all. Open world (a new concept in gaming) and epic music. Challenging too.

To be honest......those are my top 3. I've had a hard time getting into the other Zeldas for some reason. But these are the ones I come back to.

I didn't care for the N64 Zeldas. I hated the transision to 3d. I didn't like the art design or the grafics. It wasn't all bad it paved the way for the gamecube Zeldas which made better improvements over the N64 games.
