Gamecube went pretty much unplayed besides Metroid Prime 1 and 2, Paper Mario: TTYD, and REmake. SNES is the best console evar, N64 had a few gems and the Wii gave me Mario Galaxy, TP, Tigers Woods 2011 and such. NESgets some love too. There's my reasoning.
Amazing how my fond memories of the Super Nintendo and, more importantly, it's games library are. I'd probably rate the Super Nintendo as my favourite console out of all manufacturers too, not just Nintendo. Probably largely due to the time I had available to game when playing it and the amount I was hooked on the titles. Was the first real console to tick all the boxes for me.
My favorite is the SNES. However, if one were to pick just one, you gotta go with the wii. Most of the best nes, snes, and n64 titles are available via VC. ...and then there's the GC BC + Wii titles.

There is, of course, the backwards compatability and virtual console thing to take into consideration of course. Personally I don't think it's a crap console, just that the others were significantly better.

Well, this is a LEGACY forum so that was kind of expected. Personally I think that Wii virtual console is good for legacy gaming if you're not a collector, especially for C64 games.
