/rant on Spike TV Video Game Awards

Am I the only one that thinks they are ridiculous? All of the game of the year nominees are Xbox/ PC exclusive. How can you possibly leave out super mario galaxy? This is one of the highest rated games ever, and reviewed better overall more than any other game on their list. I like my 360...I play it the most out of the 3 next gen consoles. Its just annoying to see the fact that they are overlooking a great title like galaxy. From what I've seen in the past their VGA's are a joke.

Agreed, maybe they're starting to have a "Wii-hater-period" like Gamespot have had for a very long time by now.

Personally I dont think games that are released 2 months tell the end of the year deserve awards (dont get me wrong SMG is a amazing game,but imgaine if oh say the 0-12 miami dolphins made it to the superbowl).Releasing a game 2 months before the year ends doesnt give alot of people the time to enjoy the game and decide if its actually goty material compared to other games.

I see Spike's Video Game Awards the same way I view MTV's Video Awards: I ignore them because in my eyes they are not legitimate and seem to trivialize video games and pop music. Video games and pop music deserve better recognizion and respect than these two award shows.
