Remember I said I had that dark thought about the Gamecube, well funny story a week after I said I enjoyed playing this thing, it ends up breaking on me, and Gamestop like the sick company they can be, didn't bother taking it back and ends up not taking it back, so what do I do? I end up trading back to them with the games I bought, and ended up walking out of there with an original XBOX (my new year's game resolution came true and that's getting an XBOX for a cheap price)

So instead of 50 bucks I spent 30, and went to the Play N Trade down the road, and got 20 bucks worth of XBOX games, since they had a Buy 1 Get 1 Free Sale.

Do you think I got a good deal?

I am mad though, that I wasted 50 bucks on a console that ends up breaking on me. but the XBOX kind of made my day :)

How exactly did your Gamecube break? If it comes down to it you could always take it apart and see if you can fix it yourself. It has no warranty anymore and you really have nothing to lose if it doesn't work now :P

But the original Xbox should take the sting out just a bit! I bought one a few months back and am having a lot of fun with it! It has a lot of great games and most of them are dirt cheap :) You'll be spending a lot less on games for the box then you would on the Gamecuse

i dont understand how one could break a gamecube. they are indestructible. mine went down 2 flights of stairs, slammed on the ground 30 times and still works 99.99% of the time

I thought the gamecube was tough since it was made by Nintendo. You should be able to buy a cube for $25.00 these days. Xbox is good as well, You should find some decent games for that.
