Just because Infune and a few guys that made Prime made this doesn't mean that this is Mega Man:Prime. That's a awful comparison especially after Infune let the world down with Mighty #9.

If anything, this game borrows heavily from Gun Valkyrie. The ability to jump and boost forwards or backwards and the lock on system is damn near identical. If you think I'm lying, check out this youtube video...

What's even funnier is that you collect cores in this game too. Check out the video. Around 4:07, the player collects a core lol Hilarious!

And at the end of the video around 5:11, tell me her suit doesn't resemble one of the cores that's in Recore. Both are using desert environments too.

This game is clearly a GUN VALKYRIE RIPOFF.

As long as the game is good then I really don't care.

What I've seen so far isn't enough to make me want to shell out $60. Now Gears...that's looking better and better each time I see it. I'll shell out $60 for that.

@louixiii: It's not $60, it's $40($32 for GCU members).

And from what I've seen so far it doesn't play like Gun Valkyrie at all. Gun Valkyrie was difficult to control because you mostly fought in the air, not on the ground. Also, even if it was a rip off of Gun Valkyrie, GV was a great game that didn't get the attention it deserved on the OG Xbox. ReCore looks like it'll be a lot easier to control the main character during heavy shooting scenes since Jules doesn't have to stay airborne the whole time.

And yes, I do own this game and bought it day 1 when it came out along with every other Sega title on Xbox at that time.

The game is looking quite good from what I've seen of it and sounds pretty intriguing to me. I plan on picking this game up when it launches especially at the $40 price point that it's coming out at.

@suicidesn0wman: I own Gun Valkyrie too. It's one of my favorite games of that gen along with Otogi. The controls were pretty simple to me and I beat the game several times. The combat was 60/40 air to land combat during my time with the game and almost everything I'm seeing in Recore screams Gun Valkyrie. The only difference is the bot assisting you. The minor platforming...the boosting and dashing...the ground movements...even the combat reminds me of Gun Valkyrie. And the fact that you collect "cores" in Gun Valkyrie just says to me that somebody on that team was a big Gun Valkyrie fan.

Recore animation is mediocre but the game looks like it controls well. Gun Valkyrie; which I own, controls like garbage.

I mean, if Gunvalkyrie's concept can be improved with better controls, then why not? No one should be able to go through Gunvalkyrie without breaking a few controllers, except for the Duke, and the story is so barebones that I have a hard time going through it. Make it play like a standard shooter with strafing and look around functions, and don't waste people's time with plot that leads to nowhere.
