I don't know about you guys, but I love Alan Wake, maybe because it's one of the few genuine thrillers of the generation, or maybe because the character of the writer speaks to me.

It seems that Alan Wake 2 is in the works, since finnish developerRemedy is hiring people for what looks like a AAA title. Furthermore, some time ago lead writer Sam Lake tweeted:"It's all true. 'It will happen again, in another town, a town called Ordinary.' It's happening now."

Can't wait.

Unfortunately, I never got to play the original Alan Wake, but I did play the demo for American Nightmare, and it was one of the best demos I played.

Have a feeling the sequel will no doubt disappoint me because the first one was so good.

I liked the game but thought the story was a bit insane and hard to follow. I finished the first game and still have no idea what was going on. Anyways i'm semi interested.

Glad to hear it. Alan Wake was great, and I'd love to see more from Remedy. American Nightmare was a nice appetizer in terms of making the combat more enjoyable, and now I'm ready for a full on sequel.

No what was hard to follow was how bad you were at that game getting us killed every 3 minutes.

At least I didn't waste 5 tries attempting to carry a dynamite box to a tower we already destroyed 5 seconds earlier

You should really try recording some of these sessions, they sound interesting to say the least.

But on topic, Alan Wake was a fantastic game. When I purchased my 360 it came with a download code for Alan Wake, which I enjoyed so much that I went out and purchased a physical copy to put in my collection. My only issue is that the original was so interesting because it was fresh and new, but with Alan Wake 2 it would most likely just feel like more of the same.

Hopefully they will REMEDY this by bringing in a completetly different threat and some new mechanics to utilize.

Original Alan Wake was awesome, but American Nightmare didn't really click with me for some reason. Anyway I'll happily play a sequel. Sam Lake is awesome :). I wonder what crazy lightign effects they will be able to do on the new consoles?

I'm glad they can make another one, I just hope it's not exactly like the first one. It's kind of hard to see how it will go

The Co-op story was just dreadful, I didn't even bother following it.

I recently finished Alan Wake and American Nightmare, and when I tried looking up information on a proper sequel I was stunned that there was absolutely none to be found. Hopefully it's on track and set to be a great game, and I'm glad they're beefing up resources for the second. While I loved the first two games, they definitely got repetitive quickly.
