I'm sorry but I fail to see what is the relation between your topic title and your message.

If you find a game a chore to finish, why are you playing it?

Just because a sequel comes out every year doesn't mean they can't be fun games... Didn't Episodes 1 and 2 for Half-Life 2 come out fairly often?

The Half Life episodes didn't come that quickly IMO. HL2 originally came out in 2004, Episode 1 in 2006, and Episode 2 in 2007. There isn't any info on Ep. 3, and I highly doubt it would be out this year.

the point of epesodic content is to release it more frequently at lower prices

I tend to avoid games that are a chore to finish. Fable was one but I still had fun playing with it and got it pretty interesting towards the end.

please explain Fable part. Fable is the easiest and the shortest rpg you can play, what was chore in it? the game was bad ? i can agree on that with its terrible story

And my point is that they aren't necessarily bad if they come out frequently. The TC was making the claim that multiple games in a franchise are released relatively soon a lot of the time, and that they are somehow bad because of that. I was countering the point.

Haven't you heard, THE CAKE IS A LIE, all this time we thought Peach would go in to make a cake for Mario, but now that we the cake is a lie, well, I'll leave that to your imagination.

I have too many games iam starting to play just to finish...and once they're finished they go into the closet and never to be seen again. 145 games, finished 78 of them.

If gaming is a chore, change your game. WoW became a chore to me, so I stopped playing.

I don't really find the games a chore to finish unless a game for achievement points on my Xbox360. Back in the say of the N64 and PSX, I could happily play a game for hours and it wouldn't feel like a chore.

????? Don't remember that.

I just feel in general that in the days of the N64/PSX and going backwards i used to really enjoy games. I still do but not for the same reasons. I have still to play a game which is as much fun as Mario 64/PDZ/Sonic1,2,3 etc.

I'm sorry. My mistake. It was someone else and I wrongly attributed it to you...

That's the person about whom I was talking.

I'll try to remember to check what I say before I say it next time...:?

^ lol, same here. i was really proud of myself for beating that game (hit detection on certain parts was AWFUL, like the crossbow lines, you had to jump on the line and if you didn't place it just right then into the water you went) and then POOF nothing. but it was a fun run.
