Replacement NES Power lead?

I recently bought a NES off eBay and was wondering would I be able to use my mega drive 2 power lead in it while I get a NES power lead? The mega drive 2 power lead is AC Input 240V 50Hz Output 10V 850mA

The mega drive 2 has a smaller power connector than the NES does it won't fit it.

I have heard of people using model 1 supply's though.
