Ok, I'm thinking about buying RE4 on my PS2. If I enjoyed previous Capcom titles like Onimusha, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, Megaman, etc, will I enjoy this series of games? I also checked that at my previous Gamestop RE4 was about $25 used. I was wondering if there's a Resident Evil Compilation that came with RE4 on PS2 so I could save some money.

I can't say if you'll enjoy it, but there deffinately is a collection for the PS2. It has Code Veronica, RE4 and one other game.

You should instead purchase it for GameCube or Wii. If you do not own a GameCube, then you are really missing out. The controls, and graphics are best on the GC (if you don't include the Wii version.)

It is a great game. I havent heard of anyone who hasnt liked it thus far. And if you can find it for 25 bucks, its well worth the price.

You've never played a Resident Evil game before? That kinda sucks dude. You should definately start from the beginning. Not because the stories are chained together one after the other but they do have an overall theme to them like the Umbrella Corporation.

As for RE4..it has different controls than any of the other Rez games and they can be frustrating at first. But once you learn how to fight the game becomes super fun. I mean its so fun it got ported over from another console to the ps2. Another reason you may want to start from the beginning is RE4 might spoil you and make the others look like crap hehe.

Good Luck with getting them and whatever you do, do not give up. I died like 4-5 times at the beginning of RE4 lol but then I figured out what do and I had a great time and blasted my way through the game.

OMG! Get this game. I'm actually excited for you that you haven't yet had the chance to play it. WARNING - this game is gory and violent! Baring that in mind it also happens to be one of the best games ever created. There is no boredom here. Action, action, action, bloody action. Decent story - some fun puzzles - crazy bosses. This game is just awesome. Some people are trying to tell you to get the Cube version and, while it is awesome, the Playstation 2 version has a bunch more content - new weapons and more Ada missions (which are cool).

Seriously, go out and get this game. Since you haven't played it before I can tell you straight up that this will comsume your time more then any modern console game. Just bloody fabulous.

Get and then let me know what you think.

yes get this game immediately. I wish I had gotten the PS2 version first, because I am aching to play the extra Ada story.
