Resident evil 5 demo Coming Early 2009

12/17/08:

The Resident Evil 5 demo may have been released "only" on Japan's Xbox Live last week, but that didn't stop gamers from finding a way to play it.

Why not just release the demo in the US and be done with it?

Complications have held up the demo, Capcom stated, But the demo is now currently scheduled for "early 2009."

Unfortunately, Capcom couldn't nail down a more specific date than that yet. Maybe they'll make it a special New Year's gift? Hint, hint, Capcom!

You're going to have to wait a little bit longer for more zombie mayhem, but the "Resident Evil 5″ demo is coming soon. The game itself comes out on March 13, of course.

Older Reports-

Resident Evil 5 Demo Coming to North America, Just Later Than December 5

report that a co-op demo for Resident Evil 5 was heading to the Xbox 360 on December 5 in Japan (which has just been recently released 13 days ago), which

gave everyone the impression that North America could also be expecting one soon. Well, according to Capcom, North America will indeed be getting a co-op

demo that will hit both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, though there is no announced timeframe.

Hopefully this game wont turn into a speed run competetion like re4 did. Because anyone could a speed run on that game. The AI wasn't bad, just very (VERY) easy to exploit/predict. You can simply know exactly when they would throw their sickle at you next, or when a group of 1-5 of them would all run at the same time. RE5 is going to be released in 08-09, so my expectations are high, and this game will be awesome!

Anyone else played the demo yet? It includes two "scenes" from the beginning of the game and you can play them in single player, local co-op, or online co-op. So far it basically feels like RE4 + better graphics, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The controls take a bit of getting used to, but I have a feeling some people might really like the setup. It's nothing revolutionary though. I kind of wish they had added the ability to move while shooting, but I guess it wouldn't be Resident Evil if the developers weren't stubborn to change. The graphics are superb, as to be expected, and some of the new baddies are pretty cool, but what really impressed me with RE4 were the boss fights. Hopefully, RE5 can produce some more memorable boss encounters. From my impressions of the demo, I'm thinking the major addition they wanted to make this time was co-op play. While I haven't had a chance to play with another person yet, the AI for your teammate is excellent. Always covering, there to revive you when you need it, and dealing some damage. It's actually pretty fun to see your teammate save your butt from an incoming axe-wielding hooded maniac. I can only imagine it would be even more enjoyable with a friend. I'm not sure if Capcom has hit it out of the park with RE5, but from the looks of it, they definitely aren't messing anything up. So if you enjoyed RE4, odds are you will love RE5.

You'd be surprised actually. Personally, I think it's one of the most memorable gaming experiences in recent memory. Up there with games like Okami and Metal Gear Solid 3, but there are some people that just don't like it.

Will somebody please tell them to hurry the **** up?! Arrrgh why must I wait another 3 more fracking months....WHY Capcom WHY???!! I began my journey with RE1, but didn't fall in love until I met 4. RE4 is by far one of the most awesome games ever...and now they've made a sequel to it....I must drool at the sexiness that is Chris in his hi-def form. I must smile and giggle in delight at the sight of all my old friends Wesker and Chris....I must play this game now!!!! But no....gotta deal with the waiting and all that ****. I can only pray that someday I may see the beauty that is RE5. With that I must now go outside and get some fresh air.

(Sorry, its awfully hard to contain my excitement for this game. XD)

I had started to lose interest in the game after so long, but all the new videos and demo impressions really has me hyped up for the game. What's up with the demo delay, anyway? I hope it comes to the marketplace soon, because I can't wait to try out the co-op gameplay.

What I want to know is what is in the limited edition version that's making it cost $89.99. If it's an action figure of both Sheva and Chris, I might be all up on that.
