So I was thinking about buying these games but in terms of multiplayer how does it feel. Is it heavy and slow paced like Medal of Honor And battlefield or does it feel smooth like cod gears and halo. Thanks for your help I just bought a ps3.

Both series are better played for the single player campaigns

If I was you I would buy Resistance 3 (Best campaign out of all of them). Loved this game.

Killzone 2 & 3 I also loved there campaign's, great games, great graphics, not the best stories but who cares for a action Ballz to the Wallz FPS. can get them cheap now used.

I would skip Resistance 1 (Just does not feel good anymore, too outdated for a FPS) and Resistance 2.

For a online FPS you are better off playing Halo 4 or COD:BO2. KIllzone 3 and Resistance 3 are ok but they are nearly dead online.

I disagree. Resistance 3's campaign just went nowhere. I finished it and really felt...that was it? Resistance 2 was the best in the series I felt in both single player and multiplayer options.

I thought I was the only one. I didn't much care for RFOM, but I loved R2. I didn't mind R3, but it kind of felt like it didn't belong.

Judging by what I have played of Resistance 1 and seen of Resistance 2, Resistance is all around terrible and is kind of a CoD Halo mix, While Killzone is more like CoD but with some battlefield influences and far better than CoD.

BF > KillZone > Resistance > CoD

I dont particularly love Killzone, but they always get me with their awesome presentation and art style.  The pics of the helghast in Shadow Fall are just so damn cool it makes me wanna love the game.

Personally I actually enjoyed the Killzone games (yes even the first one) while the Resistance games didn't really do anything for me.

resistance games are fun for the singleplayer, the guns and level design are top notch for the genre. I would just get those collections sony made packaging the trilogies. Even Resistance 1 is fun (has that old school fps design to it). While the other two are more modern. Killzone 2 and 3 (haven't played the first) are must haves simply to show off the power of the PS3. Best graphics on the system right next to Uncharted 2 and 3. The gameplay has a heavy feel to it, but you get used to it, and the set pieces are top notch, the story is nothing great, but the the universe Guerilla created is at least interesting, so basically its crappy characters, interesting universe.
