It doesnt really matter what it is called (though it likely would not be called Prime 4), but yeah I could go for a FP Metroid game, if it goes back to it's roots and forgets 3 ever happened. I either want them to do this, or to make a similar game, but in third person with more platforming and such. I don't mean like other M either, I mean fully 3D and third person, with a big open world that is interconnected. That would be my pick I think.

Retro doing another FP Metroid. Sure. The original Prime is only my favorite game ever, so I'd be onboard instantly.
But I'd actually prefer them stretch out their abilities by working on something of their own. They've made nothing but good quality games so far, I think they could do something pretty great.

Agreed. Well, Super and Prime 1 (and 2) did a great job, but yeah exploration is key. I jus thtink a third person camera with an emphasis on platforming would be awesome.
Nintendo needs less of the same and more of the new. Its the same dance everytime. Mario, Zelda and Metroid for every Nintendo console. Nothing new.

You said every Nintendo console, not just the Wii U.
Yes the Wii U is lacking in IPs. Althogh we are already getting Pikmin 3 as far as first party IPs go.
Retro Studios is Nintendo's best second party developer. So they should have been among the first to get a Wii U dev kit. hopefully Metroid Wii U version is already in the works. Metroid Prime 4 would be excellent.
Nintnedo wii U needs some killer games The Metriod Prime series would really work well with the Gamepad. I would be very suprised if Retro Studios was not already working on Wii U metroid. Or at least something for Wii U by now.
