How there ever been a retro system that you regretted selling? Which one was it and what was the story behind selling it?

I actually had a nice NES collection, (system with clsoe to 40 games) that I sold in 1997. I had Kirby's adventure, Super Mario bros 3, Guardian Legend and others complete. :(

I sold it to provide money for a Playstation xD I was very happy with the choice then though as my NES was giving me many problems, and years later I actually bought another Nes system again with more games then I ever did (got most of the games I sold back too.)

I sold my N64 and Dreamcast along with all my games for them years ago. I've been slowly working towards getting alot of those games back. I don't sell anything anymore however. I'm much older now and i take more pride in my collection then when i was a younger.

My SNES and N64. That's about it. I miss playing some of the classics on those systems.

I sold my PS1 with a bunch of games couple of years ago. One of the biggest mistakes in my life:P No way I'm going to repeat that. Fortunetly, now I rebuyed most of the lost games.

I sold mario party! It was the original version and the only game I've ever sold. I can't remember what I needed the money for but I bought it for 40 bucks (this was a long time ago) and sold it for a measly 5. It was used when I bought it originally (and kind of nasty) there was sticky glue residue on both sides of the cartridge (beside the game sticker) which I can only guess was from the original owner removing custom stickers. It was a mess but it worked.

I gave my godchild my N64 back in 2005. Two weeks later his mother calls and tells me she overheated the thing.

Should have just gotten some Hello Kitty or Barbie game instead. :?

I'm really careful not to sell my older games just because I know how hard they are to replace.

I deffinately regret selling Mortal Kombat 3, Crash Bandicoot, and Mortal Kombat Trilogy, but i found new copies of each one. The only one I sold and haven't been able to find since then is soul Blade. I'm buying the first copy I see.

I don't know what system it was, but I remember this little 9 year olds' birthday was coming up so I gave him one of my systems, but I was feeling so generous at that time that I also decided to give him my Neo Geo Pocket with Sonic, and Metal Slug. Now, that system wasn't that great, nor is it expensive to buy now, but I just wish I had it sitting here protected because when I bought it it was in like-new condition. No scratches, perfect paint, no gunk in the joystick or buttons. I assume it's destroyed, or thrown out, or sold away by now :(

Also, long time ago I had a Genesis/NES which my mom sold when I was around 6 because we had a SNES already, and had just gotten a N64 that Christmas. Didn't realize how much I'd miss it at the time, but I really wish I had both now. In fact a few years ago I did buy myself a Genesis, but this was before I had a debit card, so I couldn't shop online at all, so that made finding games really hard, so I sold the system at a yard sale for maybe $5, and gave away around 10 games with it for free. I believe the person who bought it ran a charity home for kids, or was a foster parent, or something, so I didn't mind at all giving it all away.

Someday soon though! I will own another NES (hopefully toploader), a Sega Genesis, and I'd really like to replace my SNES! :D
