Risen 3 - Magic attribute

Hey. I have a question.
Does increasing magic attribute (crystal magic) also increases magic damage for spells and magic gloves (Guardians)?

I'm almost certain that it does for my voodoo spells/weapon. It should be the same for guardian spells as well.
