Just look at this beauty! MEEOOOWW! Click here for story on Kotaku.
Here it is, the Rock Band Fender Stratocaster. Besides resembling the original Fender Strat, it has multi-colored buttons on the neck that wrap around and include the fret. That means that playing Rock Band not only mimics playing an actual guitar, but this design lets you see what exactly you the heck you are pressing. In short: it's natural. Production hasn't yet begun apparently, so this must be a near-final prototype. Hope it plays as good as it looks.Kotaku

So cool. Five seperate buttons for solos was a very good choice by Harmonix. I can't wait to see the drum set:D

Ok...I'm digging this...especially the buttons near the body. One tiny problem I always had with Guitar Hero was that I always felt a little like I was playing a very tiny bass because my hand never left the end of the neck. Whenever a solo came, I was always wanting to shoot my hand down the neck. And now it looks like its fixed. I'm definitely intrigued...

Christ, I wish that the select button was in a better position like on the PS2 controller. I hated the Xbox one so much because of this.

Looks fantastic, even if it will cost a packet to produce and even more to buy.

The controller's a beaut. Thing is, I don't see many people buying a $200 bundle for one game (hello, Steel Battalion). And on top of that, I think most people are going to want to play guitar rather than the drums, which is going to make drummers a hot commodity (Alex is going to get hammered with Friend Requests).

I think this is the perfect progression of the Guitar Hero idea, but I also think it's going to be pretty limited due to the cost. I hope it does well, though, as the idea is absolutely awesome.

I do like that controller. However, I can't say I'm really sold on the actual game idea yet. I mean Guitar Hero is fantastic, but I'm not sure whether throwing more instruments into the mix is a great idea.

This game apeals to a completely different range of people than Steel Battallion. Most people you'd ask probably wouldn't have heard of that game, while most, if not all, would have heard, or played, Guitar Hero. Sure, sales may not be the greatest with a $200 game, but I'm sure it will sell pretty darn well.

The guitar looks awesome, I definitely can't wait for the game. I'm actually looking forward to it more than I am GH3...I'm already trying to talk some of my friends into getting it once it's out so we can form a full band together, haha.

Your both right though. I remember Batallion, and that ridiculously large controller panel they made people buy.
The difference is though, that these controllers that come with GH, GH2 and most probably this new Band game, are universal and interchangable between games.

Nice avatar btw. Thats one of my fav albums of all time.
Get the new 1 its not bad.

Wasn't there supposed to be microphone support as well? Or is it wishful thinking on my part?
