Roughly how many games does the typical current gen gamer have?

How many current gen games do you own?

I know I have way too many, but I was curious how many games everyone else has.

I have 192 if you include PSP and DS (current gen otherwise being 360,Wii and PS3).

I think the 360 has the highest "attach" rate of 8 games per console (highest all-time). That strikes me as being very very low, but hopefully someone who has access to NPD can come along and correct me if I am wrong.

I've had my 360 for less than a week and I already own more games for it and have spent more time playing it than the Wii I have that has been collecting dust since February 2007 (I've played some GC games on it... but those are GC games).

Well, according to my profile's collection page (which is more or less accurate) I've got a whopping 7 DS games (ever since I started driving my interest in portable games has taken a big hit) and 14 X360 games. Also if you want to count PC games that would probably be considered current gen (HL2, Oblivion, etc) then you can add another 12.

Anyway, the typical current gen gamer owns about 4-7 games. Those games being Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero III, Halo 3, the latest version of Madden, COD4, GTAIV and maybe the cash-in Guitar Hero games (Aerosmith, etc.) as well as one or two other sports games. And of those I'd say that only GTA, Halo, GH, and Madden are sure bets.
