RPG suggestions needed

We need help finding a good RPG that has an engaging storyline, good graphics and is interesting for PS2 and/or the PC. We're bored of RPGs that have little or no story.

We've played these games and liked them very much:

Final Fantasy X

Well, Okami isn't even a RPG...

Anyway, you could try any Nippon Ichi Software SRPGs or Xenogears (I didn't like Xenosaga series too much)

if you havnt played ff7-ff8 your missing out, FF8 has a great story line(some people dont like it because its a love story, but its done very well) also FF8 is nice because you dont have to grind at all like some RPGs, you can finish the entire game by level 17-18 (monsters level with you, so grinding does nothing)teldath

I love this guy... about time someone thinks FF8 is great. The story is freaking bada** and squall is the ish! Awesome RPG and my best FF game ever Hands Freaking Down!. 10++++

you guys mentioned almost all great RPG games for PS2. but you forgot ONE OF THE BEST!!!

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. that game IS something!maybe you'll find it tough at first , but if u are good , u'll get to it! really great game...

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for the pc

Great game, great characters, great story. Also, it's good even if you don't like Star Wars that much - it doesn't really tie into the movies.

Sticking to console RPGs...

• Final Fantasy IX (PS) - the whole series is good of course, but IX is my pick
• Grandia (PS) - better than the sequel
• Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga (PS2) - all SMT games are worth a look
• Knights of the Old Republic (XB) - awesome Star Wars game from Bioware
• Jade Empire (XB) - set in ancient China, another Bioware gem
• Suikoden V (PS2) - again, the whole series is good but this is probably my favourite
• Golden Sun (GBA) - underrated handheld RPG
• Kingdom Hearts (PS2) - more action-based, don't be put off by the Disney characters
• Fable (XB) - good game, pick up Lost Chapters if you can
• Morrowind (XB) - PC-style free-roam RPG, true classic

There's a ton more too but those are just what I picked off the top of my head.

And looking to newer consoles, I'd highly recommend Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey (both 360).

Golden sun is no way underated, everywhere i go i hear how good it is, and the game has sold far over a million copies. Its a damn good game though, any rpg fan should have the golden sun duo in his collection :)
