Rumor: Starfox Wii: Battle for Corneria

Rumours are abound that suggest the next iteration in the Star Fox franchise could be coming to the Wii soon.

Turkish gaming news site, Nintendocu, are stating that the next Star Fox game is set to be unveiled in the next issue of Nintendo Power. The game itself is titled Star Fox Wii: Battle for Corneria and will incorporate online play as well as support for Wii MotionPlus.

This could be completely bogus but you never know:D!

I wouldn't say that. There have been instances where Nintendo has dropped a franchise during a generation run. Metroid and the N64 come to mind. Nintendo right now has only been focusing on the Big 3 (Mario, Metroid, and Zelda) and the casual line of games(Wii Sports, Wii Music, and Wii Fit). We have yet to hear any actual news on Donkey Kong, F-Zero, Star Fox, or Kirbygames for the Wii. And no, that Donkey Kongbongo racing game does not count.

So if Nintendo doesn't bring them up, for all intents and purposes, they are not making the games yet for these series.

Haven't played a Star Fox game since Star Fox 64. I love that game so much. All recent Star Foxes have been horrible.heysharpshooter

I must agree, the last two starfox games (three if you want to include the DS one) were less than amazing. They have got to restore Fox to the Badass character he is, and restore Star Fox games to the sprawling adventures they were. I am glad to hear of a new Star Fox game, cause most evrything that has come from Nintnedo recently has made me yawn.

If this game is good i'll be buying a Wii. They will have delivered HQ titles in every franchise that i've ever purchased a Nintendo console for.

I think I remember reading that the guy who had been behind Star Fox saying he had no interest in a sequel.

Yes, That Cuthburt guy. But he also said if there is going to be a star fox for the wii, he won't be apart of it.

I would love to play a game like starfox 64 except on this gen.
