This is a bit of a pipe dream but a very mouth watering pipe dream. R.W.O.P- reissue with online play. Being an online gaming junkie I would love to see classic games reissued with an online mode. e.g zelda ocarina of time (reissue on wii), tekken (reissue on ps3) goldeneye (reissue on xbox). Do you think its possible or totally impossible even if they wanted to?

As someone who generally isn't interested in online play, I can't say I really would want Ocarina of Time to be "r.w.o.p".

I can see old arcade games though, since many of those had simultaneous two-player elements, and even the ones that didn't are good for short competition bursts. And I can see how previously split-screen multiplayer titles like Goldeneye would be nice with online play. But ultimately, for me at least, what I love about consoles are their dedicated single-player experiences. I see no pressing need for games that are clearly designed to be single-player experiences to become something else altogether, which would be necessary if they went, as you call it, "r.w.o.p".

Oh, I'd love to see a revamped Rock 'n Roll racing, with HD visuals, new songs and online enabled.

I think the beauty of online play is the opportunity to experience the brilliance of the game with other people at the same time. its great to test your skills against other people from around the world and obviously OOT is an amazing game and would be even more amazing battling it out against other players and would give the game an endless appeal. any game with online play has strong replay value as you strive to get better and better by challenging better players.

I think the weakness of it is that it can't help but turn the game into a more episodic structure, and remove most of the storytelling elements leaving little more than a backstory. I enjoy the full experience in a game -- the gameplay in combination with the environment and the story-driven adventure.

Online play has a lot of replay value for some people but not all. I grow bored of it very quickly. Whereas games like Ocarina of Time or Super Metroid are still fun for me to replay without requiring the participation of a single other gamer.

i dont get it. challenging them to what? running around hyrule field and smacking each other a few times? they can do this in smash brothers. OOT is not the kind of game that would make any positive use of multiplayer. a game like it developed from the ground up with multiplayer in mind is a different story, but that is not the case here. it would be like multiplayer tomb raider. just why?
