GTA IV, though SR2 is a LOT of fun. Problem with SR2 is that it feels much more like a budget game and its lack of cover system is a bit ridiculous. Also, SR2 is incredibly easy. You basically feel like a complete god. SR2 is also still hindered by the awful respect meter, which is obviously nothing more than a device to make the game longer than it actually is. The concept of wasting your time with jobs and side-missions simply to earn the right of progressing in the mission structure is just awful.

Casual gamers will love SR2, as it starts knockdown and drag-out with its off the wall humor.

Hardcore gamers will gravitate towards GTA IV as it hides so much more for the truly committed.

If you enjoy the Spike TV show, Manswers, then you'll appreciate the low-brow, remedial humor provided by Saints Row. If you are over 15 years old, GTA4 will appeal to you more.
