With the EA wiki debacle last month and now with this, do you think game companies are going too far?

If that's true then I'm seriously put off Sony. That's just incredibly pathetic, and to a Halo fan like me it just makes me feel so much less like getting a PS3Just saw this... SCEE was caught editting the Halo 3 wiki, claiming that the game will "look no better than Halo 2"

I never knew Wikipedia was such a big deal. Are people going to Wikipedia and reading summaries of games rather than websites like xbox.com or GS and making their own judgements?
Strikes me as being a pointless prank, though that being said, it shouldn't have happened.

Well, it's not a big deal. Vandalism occurs all the time on Wikipedia. It's something editors are constantly faced with.
I always change things on Wikki, what's the big deal of some guy having fun?SeanN003
The "big deal" is that the individual in question works for SCEE Liverpool and made the edit from a company IP address.
I'm not going to associate his actions with the studio as a whole though. He clearly makes other unrelated edits from work.

Yes I get that he/she works for SCEE, but how do you know that he/she wasn't doing it with some co-workers just to have fun? o.o;
Why should I care about the stupid jokes that some SCEE Liverpool decided to add to Wikipedia one day in April.
This is really nothing compared to what happens on pages such as Jesus and George W. Bush.
one guy =/= SCEE. that is all.OneWingedAngeI
No way! You're telling me that one guy from SCEE Liverpool does not represent the entirety of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe?! I refuse to believe you.
