Only two characters shown but I'm liking the artstyle, if it lives up to the series legacy we're in for a treat!
For those that do not know what Streets of Rage/ Bare Knuckle is?-
It's heavily considered one of the better Beat em' Up franchises, hasn't seen a new official release since the 16-bit generation. SoR2 usually labelled with the most praise.
While Bare Knuckle Remake is more recent by Bomber Games, that game isn't licensed by SEGA and was taken down from Bomber Games website after V5.0. was available for download (despite the remake not using reverse engineering or a single line of code from the original games). I guess we now know why_
If you've played anything from the more recent Mother Russia Bleeds, to the Scott Pilgrim: versus the World video game? You'll have an idea what kind of game SoR4 is setting itself to be.
@RSM-HQ: The only thing I want from this is a bit more "depth"(as in give me tons of moves and combos) to the combat. Even if SoR had more moves than the average 2D beat-em-up back in the day, having to go through a whole 10 to 20 stage 2D beat-em-up still feels kinda samey nowadays without more to the combat. But one way or another, I'm actually looking forward to this!!!

Lol . you made it 1 minute later than me.(In System wars)
Not everyone likes to go System Wars, I also like to get a break from SW and sometimes, come to Game Discussion and remember, different forums for different folks.
@davillain-: Depends what Beat em' Ups you've played since those retro titles? Plus SoR had some cool mechanics that the average Final Fight clones never had; like landing on your feet when thrown, then add to SoR3 with weapon specials and the star system. Which all had more depth than any Bem'U at that time.
If they're really building on the foundations and seeing what Vanillaware, Mother Russia Bleeds and Castle Crashers have done to weed out repetitive gameplay in 2D Beat em' Ups, I think it'll be a lot deeper than what you assume.

Not only that, but I checked dorog1995s thread recently which seems different to mine in a few key ways. This one covers the kind of game it is, and the games that came from the series.
doros seems more focused on the new developer, and information from the SoR4 website.

I’m kind of so-so on the art style but if the gameplay is good then I’ll give it a go.
I personally have nothing wrong with it, looks great, and it strongly resembles some of SoR3 concept art, I think too many think of the old cover art which never looked like the games anyway (Max Thunder was bald of the cover for example). 80/90's cover art overall looked out-of-place and rarely reflected the games they advertise.
Main complaint I've seen some make is they've oversexualized Blaze Fielding for the purpose of sales. When no. Blaze was always that curvy outside the box-art.
If anything I would say the trailer was very faithful.
Axel on the other hand looks like he's had better days. And yet, I like that he's moving out his Ryu-clone image
Art style seems ok to me, I think what it needs to showcase is some depth to the gameplay. If it has any type of system like Castle Crashers or the old D&D arcade games, or even something like River City Ransom, then I will be all about it.

Blaze had a few moves in the originals that revealed her panties, and... why do I remember that? Truthfully, we played those games a lot back in the day. Mania playthroughs were like a daily thing.
But this is just what you're going to have to deal with as an artist today if you don't design your women with flat chests and pantsuits.
