I've already bought the Sega collection twice, so don't care about that.
Master System/GG is what they need.
Phantasy Star, Alex The Kidd, GG. Shinobi 1/2,. Master Of Darkness, Miricle Warriors, Golden Axe Warrior, Kenseiden etc....
We've had Genesis over, and over, and over.
I think this was the case with Sonic's Mega Collection as well. WTH Sega.
Still a great collection though.
Almost getting it for Shining Force and Phantasy Star (Not to mention Streets of Rage, Shinobi and Golden Axe) but the omission it quite glaring.
@rafaelmsoares: I'm more surprised SEGA has never put out a port of Golden Axe: TRoDA.
I still don't understand how they never released Revenge of Death Adder on Xbox Live Arcade. They didn't even include it in the Golden Axe collection that they released even though it is arguably the best Golden Axe game in the entire series and has never received a home console port, so there would surely be many people that would buy a collection that they otherwise might not buy just to get to play this game on a home console for the first time ever. Has Sega forgotten that they ever made this game or something?
@storm_of_swords: Exactly, and it's not like SEGA has an issue porting its retro library. So my only assumption is the arcade versions of Golden Axe has some licencing or ownership connections with AM1 after they left SEGA (Golden Axe main developer) It would explain why we never get the arcade version of the original Golden Axe_
My only other assumption is SEGA doesn't think Golden Axe, much like Streets of Rage is important enough to release something dedicated to that IP. SEGA is very hit and miss with what they know; lately they've been making smarter decisions so who knows.
Golden Axe collection
Not much point with three of the games already in a large bundle; yet slap Revenge of Death Adder? And I would buy it. And with Dragon's Crown getting a release soon. SEGA would be smart to capitalise on that.
@uninspiredcup: While I'd love to see that (huge master system fanboy here) it just wasn't popular enough (at least in the states) to get Sega on board with something like that. What I wish they'd do is just include them in the Genesis collections, it's not like they don't have the room to do it, it would help sell more copies to sms fans like us, and it would make more people aware of their awesome past.
