September the best month for gaming this year?

With games like:

Halo 3

Battlefield: bad company

Haze

Mass effect

Turok

Crysis

World in conflict

Blacksite:Area 51

Meh, October is better because of Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword.

As you can see, anything with Zelda is the better month to me. :P

But the truth is....shamefully so, I'm quite limitedon my budget so Halo 3 and all those games you've mentioned will have to wait until Ican afford them. :cry:

No offense, but I would choose any title on there over zelda. Thats just because I am not a fan of zelda, I love fps's.

November is the default 'best month for gaming' every year. I don't want to check the release lists, but I bet it's the winner this year too.

That's not to say September isn't a good month for gaming, I pretty much want all the games you've listed:)

November has a few decent games like assassins creed, and brothers and arms, but thats about all. I think september takes the crown.

We could broaden it to fall and then it would include almost all of this years greatest titles.

There's plenty of games that are TBA, many of which have a high possibility of being released in November.

Actually Bwii is out in September which makes it a great month. Loved the first and they look like they are adressing most of my complaints about it.

Well, I have the PC version of HL2 (i.e. the best version) and I didn't recall seeing "The Orange Box" associated with it. So yeah, consoles get the yucky color and the PC gets the... it gets black. :|

That's debatable. Halo 3 and Mass Effect IMHO will have a huge impact on the rest of the 360's lifespan.

Thats just your oppinion, Halo 3 and gta are pretty much evenly matched. There just two really different games that should not be compared, but I would give it to Halo 3 no offense

I gotta say Turok has a decent chance of not totally sucking. After the last one, they have to actually try with this one to win back the fans, much like EA had to do with Everything or Nothing when people stopped caring about James Bond games. Expect the Turok game after this one to totally blow however.

And Heavenly Sword has about as much of a chance of sucking as Turok. All we've seen of that game (the keyword being seen, not played) is some flashy stuff where we are supposed to go "OMG, that was awesome!" However, I have seen the Sony hype machine work too long to be fooled again. Unless Killzone 2 comes out, because that will be amazing!

Come on this can't be true! I have everything up until Episode One (inclusive), I only need Episode 2, Portal and Team fortress 2, why should I buy everything again because it's good value for some cheapskate who couldn't be bothered until now?

This will seriously annoy me if it's true. It would be cheaper for me to buy them individually on steam, and that's not cheap.

Hey, who are you calling a cheapskate? I deliberately held off from buying Episode One because I saw something like this coming, although I agree that Valve should've just kept The Black Box. By the way, the PC version is cheaper and each game will come with its own Steam code so you can, you know, "give away" the ones you don't need. :wink:
