Seriously, when are they going to stop with the episodes and make Half-life 3?

They're supposed to come out with Half-life 2 episode 3 next year. I have an idea; Just come out with half-life 3 already.

Episode 3 will be the last. Don't get impatient.

The HL2 episodes are HL3. And episode 3 will be the last episode. Looks likes both your complaints have been taken care of.

Why are you complaining? They're all full games... What, do you want less Half-Life?

Yeah, But you have to remember Valve has been pretty busy with Left 4 Dead, the Black Mesa Project and others. But now that Left 4 Dead is out, hopefully it will free them up to focus more on Half-Life. The Key word there is "hopefully".

Isn't the Half Life 2 Episodes essentially Half Life 3? I heard that many times from people. When you think about it, it makes sense. Half Life 2 is about 15 hours long and the HL2 Episodes are 5 hours long each.

No. They still have Half-Life 2 in the title, and it would be a pretty foul move for Valve to just suddenly say "that's it, no more Half-Life" after the last episode, because they know everyone wants a proper Half-Life 3.

Be thankful that Valve won't handle this situation like Capcom did with Street Fighter III. People waited 6 years for SFIII. But, man, during that wait, there were a boatload of spin-offs.

yeah, the half life episodes are supposed to constitute half-life 3, a game so big it had to be split up. Episode 3 should be good, as Episode 2 > Episode 1. Also, if the trend continues, it should be the longest one.

No, Valve has said on many occasions that the HL2 episodes were intended to be HL3. I think it was Doug Lombardi who said that he regretted not naming the episodes "Half-Life 3: Episode __" since they are meant to make up the third HL game when put together.

Well I hope they come out with a proper Half-Life 3 after Episode 3.
