I just ordered it from Amazon, cuz I absolutely loved the 2 god of war games.
Is it a must play? cuz I am looking forward to it. Ign gave it a crazy Good review. Gamespot... good review. user reviews are good as well.

It was mostly loved by everyone, but don't go into it expecting anything like GoW or you are not going to like it (they are in no way similar).

Where did you draw the line between GoW and SOTC?
All they resemble is that you get to play a guy with 2 arms.
GoW has a very high casual apeal, SoTC is quite the oposite i suggest watching the gametrailers review. Not that it matters seeing that you have already bought the game

A puzzled look on my face was the result from reading this statement.
SotC is nothing like God of War 1 & 2. They do share something in common. All are games that are worth your money. :)
I have played a ton of games in my life and I will be honest in say that Shadow Of the Colossus, is the only game that I personally would ever give a 10/10, the game was beautifully crafted, the story is much deeper than allot of people tend to realize because it's based on your own interpretation of what happened, and the Colossus battles are truly epic.
If anyone ever asked me what game I would pick to show how video-games are capable of becoming a major form of art, I would pick Shadow in a heart beat.
Like a couple of people already mentioned, it has no similarities to God of War other than it's also a quality game.PAJ89
Well, there's also the "killing huge bosses" motif, but whatever.
And yes, it's definitely a must-play. Its only faults are the control and the extensive travel sections, but those are made up for by the original gameplay and eerie, lonely atmosphere. You'll love it.
I wrote a review in my blog, check it out... lol
But yes, it is quite a good game. I really enjoyed it minus some of the control issues...

a bit of topic but i love your avatar of Thom Yorke. but to the TC in my opinion i felt alone through out the game because the only things that you kill are the bosses.
You spend SO much time just finding each colossus battle, you just get frustrated.Talldude80You know that you had to hold your sword in the air and the beam of the sun would show where the next monster can be found? Still you had to search quite a bit, made it sort of an exploration game, too.
It's nothing like GOW so if you are expecting a similar experience you will be disapointed. As for the game? I couldn't stnd it though i acknowledge i seem to be in the minority. It looks amazing, artistic with great scale but i just found the game really boring to play, and found the horse and camera awful to control.I just ordered it from Amazon, cuz I absolutely loved the 2 god of war games.

Imo ICO was a much better game and had a lot more heart, i almost cried at the ending.
well, when the game first came out it was hard to find. now its pretty old and easy to find. Personally, I played it to about 1/2 way maybe, then i lost interest. You spend SO much time just finding each colossus battle, you just get frustrated. If they made a sequel for ps3, i would want them to include some more enemies (not just a bunch of colossi), and a less barren environment.Talldude80
This game has good ratings and my friend suggested that i play it. It's more on a "Find me and kill me!" setup.
Roaming around a beautiful environment is worth sightseeing. Everything is so big.
Taking down each colossi really is a rewarding moment, not to mention tiring, which I think is very funny.
It's the Challenge mode that made me walk away. It's really hard for me to beat the Time Attack.:(
Ok, the only reason I compared to god of war was cuz on sites like ign and gamespot, said they were similar games. They got similar ratings as well. So i just assumed that. I see that i was wrong, but hey I think i will end up liking it, I really focus on environments in games anyway, and it seems to have great ones. white_jaguar
Shadow is a game that's all style and no substance..One of the most boring games I've ever played...
I don't buy a game to look at the scenery while there's nothing at all to do...
I remember buying it and taking it back after playing my friend's copy for a few hours...Not impressive at all but people seem to like it enough...
