Shadow of the collosus- Do YOU think there should be a sequal?

Personally I think that the sequel (IF they make one) should be just the same, but using the technology, that we now have to create a larger, bigger, more amazing, world, still only populated, by a nice amount of colossus, and a simple story, that is fulfilling yet, almost completely unexplained, to keep the magic of the original intact

What sequel? There was nothing going on in that game.

Seriously, overrated stuff like this should stay down. Minimal fun gameplay and an incoherent "story" is a big no-no. Just, no thank you.

If they improve the graphics, make the mechanics more complex, make the bosses more difficult and fun to fight, dispose of the stupid plot, and create a more interesting (and lively) world, I would go for a sequel.

I think they already have a sequel. It was called ICO. It actually came out before Shadow of the Collosus, but it follows the adventures of that child at the end as a boy. It's not like Shadow at all, though. It plays as a puzzle, platformer, but still follows the story. I never finished it, though. I got stuck on a puzzle and gaze up. So, yeah, if you wanna find out what all that game was about, you should play ICO :)

While I absolutely love Shadow of the colossus and think its perfect the way it is I would love to see it done with "The Last Guardian's" engine and system. It wouls be crazy to see that world again with so much detail and perfect lighting. But hopefully we'll get a HDcollection of Ico and shadow like with God of War before the last guardian comes out

It would be really nice to see that game in todays graphics, but it should be left alone because it was perfect. And plus it is already a prequel to Ico so basically it already has a sequel.

I can't wait until they release the Last Guardian which is close enough to a sequel for me.

I don't think they need to remake SotC . I prefer developers to work on new things, not just rehash everything they did in the past. That being said, if they decided to remake it I would for sure buy it. It would be awesome to see that beautiful world in hd.

I also don't think a direct sequel for SotC is necessary as they already told the complete story of Wander. (btw I don't consider Ico a straight sequel. I don't think the horned boy in Ico is supposed to be the horned baby from SotC, I think it is supposed to be one of his descendants a long, long time in the future. The story and gameplay are very different in Ico so it is not really a direct sequel imo). However, I wouldn't mind a sequel that was directly inspired by SotC with a new character killing Colossi somewhere else for different reasons so that we would have a new story but similar gameplay.
