I would hope female. Otherwise Link is going to get a surprise when Zelda rewards him during the end credits.
Sheik? From Zelda?I'm saying female, despite any insinuation. I wasn't fooled by the man-girl in Dragonslayer, I know the female form well enough to know.

Sheik is definately Male. As well as the wiki entry, The Zelda manga states that the magic used to change Zelda to Sheik also changes her very gender.
After reading the Wiki...I don't think I like Sheik/Zelda anymore. :|It's too creepy now. Makes me wonder about Link's gender!:P
